Milada Othová
Milada Othová (*1944 in Brno) has lived in Prague since her early childhood with Brno intermezzo from 1972-1983. In 1962 she graduated from the Secondary Vocational School of Art on Hollar Square, followed by studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in the studio of Professor Jan Nušl – focusing on metal and jewellery, graduated in the studio of applied sculpture of Professor Jan Kavan in 1967. After school, she worked as a “freelance” sculptor until 1995, when she joined the Academy of Fine Arts as an assistant professor in the studio of Figurative Sculpture and Medals, was habilitated as an associate professor in 2002, and worked in the studio until 2024. In her spare time, she enjoys writing poems.
