Tomáš Absolon (*1987) is a Czech painter who graduated from Jiří Pertbok’s Drawing Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His work thematizes an ambivalence between the concrete and the abstract. Among other things, he is inspired by the aesthetics of posters, their history and uncertain standing in today’s contemporary world.
