Exhibition description in English/Chinese
Symbiosis 3.0: Artificial Flavor continues the series from Symbiosis 1.0 (Prague House, Brussels) and Symbiosis 2.0 (Hong Kong Arts Centre, 2023, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Czechia in Hong Kong and as part of Art Basel Hong Kong’s program). The 2026 edition, developed with the Czech Consulate and SATA (Society Art Technology Asia), unites Czech, Hong Kong, and international artists to foster cross-continental dialogue and enrich the local art scene.

Subtitled Artificial Flavor, the exhibition examines the symbiosis between natural phenomena and human-made artifacts. Drawing from the food industry—where synthetic compounds mimic or replace natural tastes—the project explores how artificial systems (polymers, algorithms, urban fabrics) permeate creativity and erode boundaries between organic and engineered.

In this era of technological saturation, human-machine collaboration manifests as a cyborg condition: a reciprocal infusion where technology augments human perception and agency, while human intention, emotion, and culture imbue machines with expressive “flavor.” No longer mere tools, machines become co-authors of meaning, contributing precision and generativity to hybrid realities.

The resulting artworks—hyperreal forms, performative bodies, and critical urban interventions—embody this mutual enhancement, challenging distinctions between natural and artificial. Symbiosis 3.0: Artificial Flavor presents the cyborg not as future speculation but as a lived, sensorial reality of continuous co-creation.

The exhibition is co-organized by Galleria 101080, the Venue partner.
