Now what, coach?

A fictional question, as if from a dialogue: “Now what, coach?” is intended to look back at art history. In a 1945 essay, Fernand Léger declared the human figure as the primary object for the modern artist “in a new way”. By this and other deeds he performed, he gave the socialist ideology of art the green light. Looking back at this convention is again relevant in regard to restoring the ordinaryness of art, when Europe and the world are now receiving a different view of equality and freedom.
