In the installation by a trio of artists, three fundamental modes of expression—object, word, and sound—intertwine into a single, complex imaginative whole.

Each artist brings her own primary language, the one she most naturally inhabits, and invites the others to inscribe their trace into her work, to claim a fragment of it as their own. The mutual responsiveness of one form to another becomes a kind of trialogue—an authorial triangle of relations. Silent poems, gathering symbols from the sculptures, are transmuted into resonant, melodic chants and incantations, only to be finally inscribed back into matter.

How much of what usually lies dormant can be awakened at these points of connection? Where does the work of one of us end and another’s begin? What weight might this poem carry, and in what voice does this sculpture sound? Can you taste them? And will they leave you feeling full?
