12^3

12^3, light installation, 2014

A lighting apparatus as a closed system. A fixed number of variants, this time within a visual system inspired by the clock, represents a transfer of the meaning of temporality. The transience of the light beam crystallizes in the shadows of the individual variants and remains in our minds as a spatial change. This is made possible by the spatial tuning of the apparatus, which fills the gallery and confronts the viewer with the fragmentary passage of time.
