Each series of artifacts has either its own internal structure of a given number of parts or the number is somewhat arbitrary and tends mostly towards round numbers. After all, we also celebrate round anniversaries as more significant. Maybe that’s why I worked with prime numbers at this exhibition. The exhibition blends ready-made aesthetics and unclear or unappointed symbolism. The grandeur of ideas is balanced by awkward matter. Is there a war going on on the board, or is it murder? Is the rainbow arching over the battlefield, or is it a banner of identity panic against the background of Manichaean sensitivity? Metaphors, facts, change of state, imitation, conventions, falsehood and the will to be happy merge into the heavy water of a gallery room, here in Prague, now in the Czech Republic, on this Earth.
